People: —Site occupancy time
—Only observed time is counted. Gaps longer than 2 seconds are not filled. A new session starts when the mode or source changes, or the video loops. Up to one hour is retained.
Without calibration, the map uses image coordinates.
Surveyed surface calibration
Mark the four corners of a real rectangle in order: A → B → C → D. Enter sides A–B and B–C in metres. All points must lie on the same plane.
Independent check points
After marking the four corners, enter the surveyed coordinates of a check point relative to A, then click it in the frame. Check points are not used to fit the transformation.
Measurements apply inside the marked boundary and on the selected plane only. Vehicle distances are measured between object anchor points, not to vehicle edges. Recalibrate after moving the camera. Estimated hook zones on the video are independent of this calibration.
Evaluation on labelled video
Compare both modes on the same clips: missed people and PPE violations, verified false alerts per hour, and distance error at independent check points.
No labelled reference data is available yet. Accuracy metrics have not been calculated.
Label complete intervals, including periods without violations. Keep not visible as a separate state. The export contains up to one observation per source-video second and the events of the current session.
To compare modes, export mode 1 before switching, then replay the same clip in mode 2. Run evaluate_safety.py to calculate metrics and check that the sources match.
